Step, step, step, step. The words themselves say something about a movement. Read them again, read them out loud: step, step, step, tic-tac, tic-tac, tic-tac. And the walk becomes a waltz; a romanza between the one and the one mingled into the two. And the “two” are supposed to follow a compass during their walk and their waltz, but it often happens, when the romanza is such, that their movement becomes the compass: one that dictates the time for each step; one that points towards the horizon into which they walk to. And you are black and white, asymmetry, contrast. And when thought from this perspective, marriage, your marriage, is not the next step but a consequence of yours. You are while you walk. Muito obrigado Lucie and Tiago for allowing me to walk in your calçada.
